Advisory: Exam Application Guidelines for Graduates of CoPC – Exempt SUCs and LUCs
Posted on 13 February, 2025

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) reiterates its strict implementation of the CHED-PRC Memorandum Circular No. 01 (s. 2010). Thus, graduates of State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), and Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs) with no CHED authority to operate board programs and Certificate of Program Compliance (CoPC) shall not be admitted by PRC for licensure examination.

However, in cases where SUCs and LUCs are exempt by CHED from CoPC compliance, the following guidelines shall be observed by concerned SUCs/LUCs and their graduates:

  1. If CHED CoPC exemption is issued to SUC/LUC before the exam application deadline, the affected graduates shall apply for licensure examination within the prescribed period of filing exam applications set by PRC. After the deadline, no applicant shall be admitted unless the deadline is extended or reopened by the PRC;
  1. If CHED CoPC exemption is issued to SUC/LUC after the exam application deadline, concerned SUCs/LUCs are required to notify the PRC of their CHED CoPC exemption fifteen (15) days before the scheduled conduct of licensure examination for reopening of application period purposes. Otherwise, affected graduates shall be accommodated in the next licensure examination schedule.

Concerned SUCs and LUCs are earnestly reminded to strictly comply with the requirements of CHED and secure the required CoPC, or CoPC Exemption, if applicable, from the CHED Office to help their graduates avoid inconveniences in applying for PRC licensure examinations
