MANILA, PHILIPPINES – The annual celebration of World Autism Awareness Day (WAAD), as proclaimed under the United Nations General Assembly Resolution (A/RES/62/139) in 2008, is observed every second (2^nd) of April each year. In support of this, the Professional Regulation Commission joins the autism community in promoting understanding, acceptance, and inclusion for individuals on the spectrum.

The 2025 WAAD theme: “Advancing Neurodiversity and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” emphasizes the integration of autism awareness and global sustainability by fostering inclusive policies and practices that can drive positive change for the autism community worldwide.

Together, let’s break the stigma and stereotypes and advocate for real change!
